1 ~ First Record You Ever Bought?

Joe Jackson ‘Stepping Out’ 7” late 70’s when I was around 10. First dance record was Afrika Bambaataa ‘Planet Rock’ 12” in 1982.

2 ~ First DJ Gig and what made you start DJing?

An illegal party on a South London council estate when I was 16. My mates pushed me into after hearing me mix & scratch in my bedroom.

3 ~ What has been the highlight of your DJ / Production career so far? 

Highlight of my DJ career has been touring the World and having residencies at Pacha Ibiza, Mos and being a resident for Defected in the early days.

Also doing 2 essential mixes for Radio 1 was pretty special. As a producer my remix of ‘Boogie 2nite’ reaching #2 in the UK pop charts was quite surreal and working with the likes of Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Roisin Murphy & Calvin Harris.

4 ~ What challenges do you face being a DJ & Producer ?

Having a personal & family life as well being focus on my career is always a challenge.

5 ~ What would you want to do if you wasn’t a DJ / Producer?

No idea! Originally I was on the path to go to college then Uni to do graphic design but I was already DJ’ing and working part time in a record shop and I followed my passion.
